E-Mail Desaforado

Reclame, reclame sempre.

Obs.: eu não estou pagando nada extra, eles vão me enviar o pedido novamente.

I'd like to suggest you guys work with a better delivery company. This "Home Delivery Network" is the worst company I've ever worked with in my life. Amazon US works with regular US Postal Service (USPS), for not urgent/cheap orders. Why don't you do the same, work with Royal Mail Delivery people? Here are the interesting stuff about "Home Delivery Network":

1) In the slip they left at my door there's the option: "your parcel was left with your neighbor at". Nonetheless, they did not leave the parcel with my neighbor neither in the first attempt, nor in the second.

2) Then I call the guys to try to arrange the delivery and get to know that the dear ones just work from Mon to Fri, 9 to 5. Isn't that cute? No Saturday delivery? Is this 1st world or Africa?

3) I arrange the delivery for Friday, and tell them they can leave my parcel with any of the next door neighbors. I get nothing, of course, on Friday.

4) I call the company today and they simply say I did not get my parcel because they lost it. Isn't that amazing? I am from Brazil, lived in the US and now am living in the UK, and simply it is the first time a delivery company loses a parcel. Isn't that sweet? Looks like service is pretty bad here in the UK, that's the only conclusion I can get.

I've been a customer of Amazon since I was living in Brazil, you guys can track my lifetime activity. Now, I am pretty disappointed with the service providers of Amazon UK. Hope that you guys do something about it. I bet I am not the first one to complain about them, and if you don't do anything I won't be the last.

Sincerely,

Patricia

Beijos!

amazon itself is not a completely reliable company with regard to shipping, but i cannot complain much, though.

in my recent trip to US, i ordered a book from amazon-US and, since i was quite in a hurry (i was staying for less than 15 days abroad), i decided it was worth paying the UPS two-day shipping rate (although i was entitled to the free super saving shipping, but that would take years for having the book being shipped to me, or so they´ve said). the one-day shipping rate is really a rip-off and i could well wait one more day and save about US$11.00.

first, i had problems with them recognizing my international credit card. two of them, actually. then, a friend lent me his card and address, so everything could be settled down. due to this "little" problem, they said delivery would take one more day. since UPS does not make deliveries on saturdays and that was a thursday, i had to wait until monday.

monday came around, but the book didn´t. i complained on tuesday morning by writing them an e-mail in which i told them i had paid extra charge to have the book delivered in two days and up to that time i had no signs of it (not even in the "where´s my stuff?" page). next day, they sent me a response telling me they were very sorry and that they were crediting the two-day delivery charge to "my" credit card. i thought it was about time to say good bye to the other hundred and so bucks i had to pay my pal and, if the book ever made it to his address, pay him to send it to my home address in brazil.

to my surprise, on that same day my friend showed up at the lab with my book under his arm.

shipping was not charged and a happy customer got his book almost in time for nihil.

many people complain about amazon delivery service, either by UPS or Fedex. some of them never received their books and they keep filling amazon´s mailbox with not so nice words.

at the end, i felt lucky.

another friend of mine who lived in manchester for a couple of years told me england is a nation in the way of underdevelopment. your short story makes me think he´s right...

Se eh Citibank (1st world), funciona.

if you go to page

http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html?ie=UTF8&nodeId=468636

you may read:

"Two-Day Shipping
.2 business days;
.No weekend delivery;...."

it does not say whether you´re in NYC or in a distant small town in the middle of the corn field (hahahaha)...

anyway - i was trying to show that amazon US might work a li´l better than its UK counterpart. another friend of mine, also living in london, has told me her package took quite a while to arrive from amazon UK...

http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/shipping/time/service/value_added/sat_delivery.html?srch_pos=2&srch_phr=delivery+saturday

Nao me leve a mal...
