Mahmoud Bay

O Mahmoud Bay me escreve la da Siria (diz ele, em um ingles impecavel - os sirios sabem falar ingles?) e me manda estudar mais.

Dear Patricia,

Hi, I read your comment on The Economist's debate on the Arab revolution, and I would like to totally disagree with your point of view. I felt really sorry that there are still individuals who may think that revolutions in our countries are made by tribes vs. tribes and sects vs. sects; at least in my country: Syria, the situation is not the way you think at all. I do kindly urge you to start getting your information out of the American media box to create your own consent without external interferences. I've never been to America, but I have the stereotypical idea that the average American citizen doesn't really care to understand what's really happening overseas, and I do understand why they don't care. So, again, please try to avoid speaking out your impressions without even having a solid background about the social, ideological and cultural structure of the Arab world.

Wish you a nice day.

Mahmoud,
Instead of trying to convince people what revolution in Syria is not about, why do not you tell people what it is about?
